Different Types Of Magnetic Cores In A Transformer

A Transformer is not very different from other electronic devices in the fact that it is also made by putting various parts together to work in conjunction. The coordination of these parts is important for the smooth working of the transformer. The most prominent part of a transformer is its core and Transformer Manufacturers make these cores in different sizes, frequencies and in many different particularizations. There are many different cores used in a transformer, let’s look at some of these cores:

Magnetic Cores

Amorphous Steel - This is used for mid to high frequencies. Transformers that have these magnetic cores are used in commercial and industrial facilities. These are effective and efficient in their work.

Solid Steel - This core supplies strong and continuous magnetic fields and for that reason, it is also considered perfect material for the core. But it also generates a lot of heat which affects the performance of the transformer.

Laminated Silicon Alloy - This is not much different just that it is covered with very thin sheets of silicon alloy which consequently reduces the heat dissipation and also reduces vortex current. This type of core is mostly used in electrical transformers.

Trutech Products is leading the transformer industry with their quality products with impeccable engineering. Our determination and hard work have made us one of the leading Transformer Manufacturers In India. It is important to understand that the function of the transformer will depend on the type of core that is used in it. Whatever your need, order from us and you will be a happy customer.
